Watermelon Mango Agua Fresca
Ingredients
4 cups seedless watermelon cubes, chilled
2 cups ripe mango chunks, chilled
3 cups cold water or coconut water
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 to 2 tbsp honey or agave, optional
Pinch of kosher salt
Fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
Ice, for serving
Optional garnish: thin watermelon wedges, mango cubes, lime wheels
Instructions
- Blend the Fruit: In a blender, combine watermelon, mango, 2 cups of the water, lime juice, honey if using, and salt. Blend until completely smooth.
- Adjust the Texture: Add the remaining water until the drink reaches the preferred consistency.
- Strain if Desired: For a smootheragua fresca, pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher. For a more fruit-forward texture, leave unstrained.Â
- Chill: Add mint leaves and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes so the flavors settle.
- Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with mint, lime, watermelon, or mango. Stir before serving.
