Mango Cheddar Biscuits
Ingredients
Mango Cheddar Biscuits
- Biscuit flour, 4 Cups
- Butter Chilled and Cubed, 1 Cup
- Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 2 Cups
- Water, 8 Fl oz.
- Diced Mango Pieces, 1 Cup
- Salt, 1 Tsp
Mango Butter
- Butter melted, 1 Cup
- Mango Pieces Minced, ¼ Cup
- Greek seasoning, 1 Tsp.
Instructions
Mango Cheddar Biscuits
- In a large Mixing bowl, place the biscuit flour into the bowl
- Add the butter to the bowl and fold together
- Shred and add the cheese to the bowl and gently fold together -lumps of butter will still be visible in the batter
- Fold in the water, mango pieces, and salt and fold
- Using a 9” x 15 “ 3” baking pan scoop balls of dough into the pan
- Leave space in between for the biscuits to be able to cook and rise
- Place into the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top of the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is starting to blister
- Remove from the oven and brush with the Mango Butter and serve
Mango Butter
- Melt butter in microwave
- Add in the diced mango and seasoning and mix well set aside to brush the biscuits
