Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Slice the mangos and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. Drizzle about 4 tablespoons of honey onto the tray. Arrange the sliced mangos on top, then drizzle more honey. Sprinkle the mango slices with cinnamon, sugar and cardamom.
  4. Assemble the Turnovers: Roll out the puff pastry dough and place it over the mango mixture. Press down gently around the edges to seal. Repeat this process until you’ve used all your mango slices and dough.
  5. Egg Wash (Optional): For a beautifully golden crust, whisk 1 egg with 1 teaspoon of milk and brush it over the tops of the puff pastry.
  6. Bake: Place the tray in the oven and bake for about 12 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and flaky.
  7. Serve: Let the turnovers cool slightly. Use a spatula to flip them over, revealing the caramelized mango underneath. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
