Ingredients

2 cups frozen mango chunks (creates a thick, velvety frozen texture)

4 oz high-quality silver tequila (100% blue agave)

2 oz fresh lime juice

2 oz triple sec or Cointreau

1-2 tbsp agave nectar (depending on fruit sweetness)

1 cup ice cubes

Rim Garnish

  • 1 tbsp smoked sea salt
  • 1 tsp Tajín
  • Fresh lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Dress Glass Rims: Run a fresh lime wedge around the lips of two margarita glasses. In a small shallow dish, combine smoked sea salt and Tajín. Dip the glass rims into the mixture to coat evenly.
  2. Layer Blender: Pour liquid ingredients—tequila, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and agave nectar—into the bottom of a high-powered blender.
  3. Incorporate Frozen Base: Add the frozen mango chunks and ice cubes on top of the liquid layer.
  4. Process Until Creamy: Blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds until a completely smooth, velvety slush forms. If the mixture is too thick, add a small splash of water or extra lime juice to ease blending.
  5. Pour and Serve: Carefully pour the frozen slush into the garnished glasses without disrupting the salt rim. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel and serve immediately with a straw.
