Mango Waffles with Hazelnut Spread
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup room temperature buttermilk
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced into small pieces
- Cooking spray or butter
- Chocolate hazelnut spread
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, room-temperature buttermilk, butter and egg in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Spray waffle maker with cooking spray.
- Pour waffle batter into maker.
- Sprinkle in diced mango into waffle batter.
- Close the lid and cook until the waffle is golden brown and crispy, 3 – 5 minutes.
- Remove from waffle maker.
- Once plated, spread the chocolate hazelnut spread on the waffles.
- Finish by sprinkling more fresh diced mangos on top.
