Mango Sesame Fried Doughnut Holes
Ingredients
- 1 can buttermilk biscuits
- 1/2 cup fresh mango (1/4" diced)
- 32 fl oz frying oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup black and white sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large heavy-bottomed pot, heat a few inches of oil to 350 degrees.
- Remove the biscuits from the package and slice each one in fourths.
- Add the diced mango to each piece and roll them into ball shapes. Continue until all the biscuits are filled and balled.
- Once balled and oil is hot, carefully drop balls in the hot oil. You should be able to put 5-7 of them in the pot at one time. Fry until golden on one side then flip and fry until golden on the opposite side (about 2 minutes on each side).
- While the doughnuts are cooking, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and sesame seeds. Set aside.
- Remove the doughnuts, let excess oil drain, then place in the bowl and roll the warm doughnuts in the spice mixture.
- Once coated, move to serving dish and serve warm.
