Dairy-Free Mango Lassi with Turmeric and Ginger
Ingredients
Ripe mangos, 2 medium (peeled, pitted, and cubed—about 1-inch pieces for blending)
Almond yogurt (or oat yogurt for nut-free), 1 cup (plain, unsweetened)
Almond milk (or preferred plant milk), 1/2 cup
Fresh ginger, 1-inch piece (peeled and grated)
Ground turmeric, 1/2 tsp
Maple syrup or honey (vegan option), 1-2 Tbsp (to taste)
Ice cubes, 1 cup
Cardamom powder, 1/4 tsp (optional for aroma)
Instructions
- In a blender, add cubed mango, almond yogurt, almond milk, grated ginger, turmeric, maple syrup, and cardamom if using.
- Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Add ice cubes and blend again for 30 seconds to chill and froth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Pour into glasses and serve immediately, garnished with a sprinkle of turmeric or mango slice.
