Herb-Infused Mango Sorbet with Basil
Ingredients
Ripe mangos, 4 medium (peeled, pitted, and chopped into chunks—about 1-inch for blending)
Fresh basil leaves, 1/4 cup (roughly chopped, plus extra for garnish)
Lime juice, 1/4 cup (freshly squeezed)
Agave syrup or simple syrup, 1/4 cup (adjust for sweetness)
Water, 1/2 cup
Salt, pinch
Instructions
- In a blender, combine chopped mango, basil leaves, lime juice, agave syrup, water, and salt. Blend on high until completely smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed.
- Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer instructions (about 20-25 minutes) until sorbet consistency. Alternatively, pour into a shallow dish and freeze for 3-4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals.
- Scoop into bowls, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve immediately.
