Ingredients

Ripe mangos, 4 medium (peeled, pitted, and chopped into chunks—about 1-inch for blending)

Fresh basil leaves, 1/4 cup (roughly chopped, plus extra for garnish)

Lime juice, 1/4 cup (freshly squeezed)

Agave syrup or simple syrup, 1/4 cup (adjust for sweetness)

Water, 1/2 cup

Salt, pinch

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine chopped mango, basil leaves, lime juice, agave syrup, water, and salt. Blend on high until completely smooth.
  2. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity if needed.
  3. Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer instructions (about 20-25 minutes) until sorbet consistency. Alternatively, pour into a shallow dish and freeze for 3-4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals.
  4. Scoop into bowls, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve immediately.
