Our Commitment to

Research Integrity

The National Mango Board (NMB) is committed to supporting credible, evidence-based research that advances understanding of fresh mango’s nutritional profile and potential health benefits. While our research priorities and the types of studies we fund are outlined through our Requests for Proposals (RFPs), we do not influence the design, conduct, analysis or interpretation of the research once projects are selected.

Our principles include

    • Independence of research – Researchers retain full control over study design, data management, analysis and interpretation of results.
    • Unrestricted support – Funding is provided as an unrestricted grant, with payment terms established in advance and not contingent on study results.
    • Transparent selection – Proposals are vetted through a fair and thorough review process, including external expertise where appropriate, to ensure scientific merit and relevance.
    • Commitment to publication – Investigators are encouraged to publish study results, regardless of outcome, in a timely manner.
    • Full transparency – All published manuscripts and related communications clearly disclose NMB funding.
    • Credible communication – Science communications are developed and reviewed by qualified nutrition experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the total body of evidence.
