Guidelines & Ideas

For your video, make sure it's:

• No more than seven minutes long
• Posted on YouTube.com
• Good quality – we need to be able to hear you through the entire video, and the picture should be clear
• Follow these three simple steps for a great video:
  1. Introduce yourself and your dish
  2. Demonstrate your dish – all ingredients and preparation
  3. Close with remarks about why you think you and your dish should win the contest

General thoughts and tips to chew on:

• The most important tip we can give is…HAVE FUN!
• Try using different varieties of mangos for different flavors and textures.
• You can learn three easy ways to cut a mango here.
• Work with your friends and family to create an inventive and yummy new recipe full of delicious mangos.
• Parents – be sure to read all the rules for the contest to make sure your kid's video submission is good to go!
• When you're slicing and dicing, be sure to have an adult's help and supervision – let them do the chopping!
• There are so many different ways to cook with mangos – you can make a drink, appetizer, meal, dessert, or anything in between. Be creative and show us what you've got.
• The best part about making a recipe (other than eating it!) is naming it.
