Consumer Marketing Results Tracker

In an effort to track your positive return-on-investment on the consumer marketing programs, the NMB tracks the mango mentions in all media including broadcast, print and on the internet. The consumer marketing results tracker is updated on a monthly basis and you can click here to see the newest version.

In 2008, we’ve reached consumers nearly 5 million times with mango messages, almost double 2007! It would have cost nearly $10 million to purchase this space and time as advertising. That’s more than triple the 2007 results for the year. Please look over the first 4 pages. This part of the very large file provides a summary of all of the results. In just a few minutes you can see an overview and return-on-investment measurements of our consumer marketing programs. If you have any questions; please do not hesitate to contact us.

PMA Foodservice

Your National Mango Board had a strong presence at the Produce Marketing Association Foodservice Conference & Exhibition, July 24 – July 26, 2008 in Monterey, California through a speaking engagement and sponsorship. During the Fresh Produce Academy the NMB educated distributors and operators about mangos and their diversity in the kitchen. The presentation also included a cutting demonstration, using the new foodservice cutting steps to gain the most yield, and a tasting experience with The Thai Mango Madness Cocktail.

During the Foodservice Conference, the NMB sponsored the Chef Demonstrations with Cat Cora, of Food Network’s Iron Chef and Tom Collichio, star of Bravo’s Top Chef. Both Chefs raved about mangos and their diversity on the menu throughout the preparation of the menu items.

The Flavor Experience

In its fourth year, The Flavor Experience, is a place for foodservice operators and suppliers to experience the power of flavor as a major component of their business strategy. The Flavor Experience is a live, interactive event. Through the NMB’s sponsorship there were mangos in at least 5 meals and snacks throughout the 3-day event. This invitation-only event, had more than 300 in attendance including nearly 100 decision-making, operators, making it another great time to talk with chefs and operators about how they use mangos on their menu.
