Greetings Mango Industry,

The Mango Connection has a new look, designed with you in mind. The Mango Connection has been created to give you quick and easy access to all the National Mango Board has to offer through our new website. The topics down the right side will always be a part of the Mango Connection and the stories in the middle will highlight current news. We know the Mango Connection and our website are just a few of the news sources you use to gain mango knowledge; therefore, we want your experience with us to be a positive one. Please let me know what you think of the new design and content.

This issue has plenty of information for you to review. Our Consumer Research Results are updated monthly and this month’s results reveal continued steady growth in several areas. The percentage of consumers who buy mangos, the consumer expenditures on fresh mangos and the average number of whole mangos purchased per buyer have grown since March, 2008. I encourage you to review this report.  

Mango messages continue to reach consumers in many different forms and at multiple times. Last year’s Consumer and Foodservice Marketing Program results are great resources for you to know what the NMB has accomplished in increasing awareness, education and inspiration to consumers. Expanding the consumers’ world of mangos is a win/win for everyone.
