Mango messages had a record breaking year in 2014 with over 2 billion earned PR media impressions, exceeding our goal of 1.7 billion. These results show how our marketing efforts continue to grow and reach consumers each year, resulting in more consumer awareness and demand for mangos.

The Nutrition PR & Marketing program had a successful year sharing mango nutrition messages across our consumers and nutrition professionals through partnerships with media dietitian ambassadors and media outreach.

We will once again offer mango bins to U.S. mango shippers on a first come, first served basis. A limited number of mango bins may be ordered; approximately 1,300 bins will be available. The bins feature mango cutting, selection and ripening messages that can help overcome shoppers’ resistance to buying mangos.

Mango scan data and ad tracking results for Q4 2014 are now available. The nation and most sub-regions declined in both dollars and volume per store per week, while retail prices rose.
