Mangos can inspire so many fascinating stories. The origination of the fruit is steeped in history and mysticism. The popularity of mangos in the U.S. reflects the growth of our Hispanic population and a trend toward more exotic tastes. Mangos have become a chef's favorite because their complex sweet flavor and luscious texture work so well in a variety of dishes and flavor combinations. And today, mangos are experiencing a boom in consumption, imports and popularity amongst U.S. consumers.

In the midst of this growth, the mango industry has tackled the challenging process of creating a commodity board to help represent the interests of the entire industry in promoting this amazing fruit in the U.S. marketplace. In operation since January 2006, the National Mango Board is the youngest of all federal commodity boards. In this short time, we've established consumer public relations, trade media relations, retail promotions, research and industry relations programs to help promote awareness and consumption of mangos in the U.S. What a great story!
