Mango and Agriculture Statistics

Mango Crop Forecast This document is updated every one to two weeks by the National Mango Board.  The projections are provided by each major mango supplying country during and just before their shipping season.

Mango Crop Report Application - USDA Market News is a great resource for understanding the flow of mangos into the U.S.  It is such a great resource, the Mango Crop Report Application was developed to access the USDA Market News data for mangos right from our Web site.

3-Year Import Trends for Mangos – This document produced by the National Mango Board summarizes monthly import volumes from 2007 to 2009 for the top 6 mango supplying countries to the United States.  It is based on USDA FAS (Foreign Agricultural Service) data.

Mango Movement Data – Updated monthly by the National Mango Board, this spreadsheet is a compilation of the USDA Market News monthly movement data for mangos sorted by month, origin and port. This is essentially the same information you’ll find in the Fruit & Vegetable Market News, but in an easy-to-use format just for mangos.

Fruit & Vegetable Market News – Maintained by the USDA AMS (Agricultural Marketing Service), this site tracks movement data, shipping point data and terminal market price information.  Make choices from the drop down menus to run a custom report or use “Browse by Commodity” in the sidebar.  The site also has many helpful links to other areas of USDA.

Food Availability – Maintained by the USDA ERS (Economic Research Service), this site tracks per capita food availability data.  Often referred to “consumption data”, the site actually tracks food availability rather than consumption and does not account for food waste or retail shrink.  However, it is a good measure of trends in produce consumption.

Fruit & Tree Nuts Outlook – Maintained by the USDA ERS (Economic Research Service), this site provides a newsletter five times per year with current intelligence and forcasts of the changing conditions in the U.S. fruit and tree nuts sector.

FAS Online, U.S. Trade Internet System – Maintained by the USDA FAS (Foreign Agricultural Service), the site tracks world trade of agricultural products.

FAOStat – Maintained by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, this site tracks world production statistics of agricultural and other food products.
