Principal Investigator: Dr. Jeffrey Brecht
Time line: 11/28/2007 – 4/30/2009

- Identify where these problems are occurring and determine practices responsible for quality loss
- Evaluate and quantify postharvest losses at different stages of the supply chain
- Identify areas for improvement and the best management practices that deliver consistently good fruit quality
- Demonstrate how some current management practices contribute to quality problems
- Develop a Best Management Practices Manual for the mango supply chain, and to present to the NMB a final report with recommendations for improving mango quality
