Print PageCelebrate the Holidays with a Latin Flair
Ingrid Hoffmann and the National Mango Board partnered with students at the Food and Finance High School in New York City late last year to show at-home cooks tasty ways to spice up unique holiday dishes with fresh mango. Ingrid starred in a video demonstrating the centerpiece of her holiday feast, Snapper Pockets with Mango-Cilantro Mojo. For every view of the video, the National Mango Board donated $1 up to $5,000. In May 2010, the National Mango Board and Ingrid Hoffmann presented a $5,000 check to the Food and Finance High School.

About the Food & Finance High School
Food for Thoughtful Learning…

Students at this high school put their education where their mouths are. Literally. The Food & Finance High School uses the culinary arts to teach critical thinking skills and the implementation of mathematics, biology and history in everyday living. Designed to serve a diverse population, the school’s mission is to establish students as self-directed, life-long learners as they approach adulthood. With food and finance as the integrating force for teaching elements of a sustainable future, students engage in highly creative project-based learning, internships and off-campus ventures.
