National Mango Board Enhances Industry Social Media Presence

The National Mango Board (NMB) has launched new social media platforms on Facebook and LinkedIn to connect even more with mango industry members. The NMB’s industry Facebook page #MangosConnect and LinkedIn company page will aim to increase industry engagement and create direct lines of communication throughout the mango supply chain. In addition, these platforms will provide the NMB a chance to bring the latest knowledge straight to mango growers, exporters, and importers.

The NMB designed their industry social media presence as a space and an open forum to discuss ideas about how the NMB can join forces with the industry to increase mango consumption and awareness, achieve superior mango quality, and foster a prosperous industry. “In today’s ever-changing business environment, audiences want straightforward and simple access to company news, information and updates,” stated Kristine Concepción, Communications Director of the NMB. “Facebook and LinkedIn will increase communications between industry members, provide an opportunity to learn from each other, and showcase resources to better support the needs of the mango industry.”

The NMB will continue its online communication strategies with consumers through various social media platforms. Each of these platforms help the NMB connect and educate consumers about mangos by creating relevant, meaningful, and shareable content through the different social media communities. The NMB encourages mango industry members to visit and follow their industry social media platforms at Facebook.com/MangosConnect and National Mango Board on LinkedIn for more information.
