Mangos and Seafood Pair Up for Mango Hometown Tour! Steve Schimoler of Crop Bistro & Bar and Chef Jonathan Bennett of Moxie, The Restaurant have been challenged to create a mango-inspired seafood dish with a touch of Cleveland style.

About Chef Steve Schimoler:

Inventor, entrepreneur, and self-taught chef, Steve Schimoler’s career has taken him from Long Island to the Lake Erie shore, always in pursuit of new challenges. Launching his first restaurant at age 23, Schimoler continued his entrepreneurial endeavors launching Chefex.com and then Localcrop.com, an online farmer’s market where local ingredients are collected and delivered to restaurants. Schimoler now serves as owner/chef of Cleveland’s Crop Bistro & Bar: where he blends culinary artistry, whimsy and food-science expertise.

About Chef Jonathan Bennett:

Jonathan Bennett joined Moxie, the Restaurant, a member of Red Restaurant Group in 1997, where he currently serves as its executive chef and vice president. Following his graduation from Culinary Institute of America, Bennett spent the next three years working at top restaurants in the country, including the Homestead Resort, before entering his current position. Bennett often pulls from his childhood memories to transform basic ingredients into simple yet delicious dishes.
